Group Rules

Participation standards for the Dual U.S. Italian Citizenship Facebook Group.

Member notice
Participation is subject to these rules and to decisions made by the volunteer administrative team to protect the community.

1. Purpose

This group is a central resource for matters concerning the acquisition and maintenance of Italian citizenship. It is designed primarily as a do-it-yourself resource. Before posting questions, members are expected to review basic eligibility, required documents, and the applicable process.

2. Civility

This is a free support group organized by volunteer moderators and administrators. Members must maintain a high standard of civil conduct. Criticism of ideas and correction of facts are permitted; personal attacks, abusive language, and political organizing or debate are not.

3. Posting

Posts must relate to the acquisition or maintenance of Italian citizenship. Include enough context to make the question understandable, including where you are applying and the relevant family line. Advertising, unauthorized blog links, screenshots of private conversations, and paid professional work product may not be posted.

4. Appointment Information

Members may share general and consulate-specific scheduling information. No person or business may sell appointments, offer paid appointment-booking services, or promote methods that violate the rules of Prenot@mi or a consular office.

5. Business Referrals and Reviews

Unsolicited referrals to paid service providers are not permitted. Any provider list is informational and is not a guarantee of performance.

6. Service Providers

No soliciting is permitted. Paid providers may contribute information freely but may not use the group to identify or approach prospective clients.

7. Blocking

Members may block other members when necessary. Members may not block a moderator or administrator because the administrative team must be able to review activity and communicate about enforcement.

8. Reporting

Report inappropriate posts, comments, solicitations, and suspected violations to the moderators and administrators rather than escalating disputes publicly.

9. Removal and Bans

Administrators may remove content and may suspend or remove members whose conduct is inconsistent with these rules. Members who encourage unlawful conduct, cyber intrusion, evasion of consular systems, or repeated policy violations may be removed.

Disclaimer. Administrators and moderators are not lawyers and cannot provide legal advice for an individual’s circumstances. Posts and comments are the opinions of their respective authors.
